CARL "ALFALFA" SWITZER 1959 Age 31- Shot To Death

Freckle-faced Carl Switzer who played Alfalfa in the OUR GANG and THE LITTLE RASCALS comedies suffered a fatal gunshot wound in a dispute over money. 

The actor, who had worked sporadically in film since his stint as a child actor, had difficulty obtaining work, and had already been shot once by an unknown assailant. 

After borrowing a hunting dog from Moses “Bud” Stiltz it quickly ran off. 

Carl paid a reward of $35 plus $15 for drinks to the man who found it. 

In a drunken state, Carl demanded "Bud" re-reimburse him the $50, resulting in a physical altercation in which "Bud"shot him in the groin, killing the former child star.
