A man on death row wanted SpaghettiOs as his last meal

It is a common practice that death row inmates get to choose their final meal, and they are usually given what they ask for.

Thomas J. Grasso, a man who was convicted of two murders, and sat on death row in 1995. All he wanted for his last meal was SpaghettiOs, and he was not given them.

He was so upset by this his last words were “I did not get SpaghettiOs, I got spaghetti. I want the press to know about this.”

What Thomas J. Grasso got instead was two dozen steamed mussels, two dozen steamed clams, a double cheeseburger from Burger King, a half-dozen barbequed spare ribs, two strawberry milkshakes, one-half of a pumpkin pie with whipped cream, diced strawberries, and he even ate a 16-ounce can of spaghetti-meatballs. But hey, it wasn’t SpaghettiOs.
