Breyers doesn't make ice cream anymore

This might seem strange to you, given that you can still go to any store's freezer aisle and buy a tub of Breyers branded deserts. If you do, pay close attention; you'll notice that Breyers doesn't label the tubs as ice cream anymore, rather, they're called "Frozen Dairy Desserts."

Why the change? Since 2006, they started cutting costs when they moved from Green Bay, Wisconsin to New Jersey. Part of the change is that they stopped using all-natural ingredients and started using food additives like Tara gum and maltodextrin and propylene glycol. As a result of these cost-cutting measures, their products don't have enough milk and cream to actually be considered 'ice cream.'
