Parents in China can sue their kids for not visiting home often

China has recently drafted a law which allows parents to sue their children for not visiting enough. The country already as a law that says kids are responsible for the financial upkeep of their elderly parents, but now it turns out, they are legally obliged to visit their parents as well.

In China, supporting one’s parents means much more than just giving them a slice of your paycheck; it means giving them a slice of your life. Many Asian countries are collectivistic, which means that social ties-particularly familial ties-are held high on a pedestal.
