Veterinarians are four times more likely to commit suicide than the average person. 

Vets are far too often tasked with killing animals that are sick or injured, despite the fact that they can help (and indeed have spent a lot of their life learning how to help), because the owners can’t/won’t pay for the treatment. 

And that’s not to mention killing perfectly happy and healthy animals because somebody changed their mind on pet ownership.
