The Lecture

Anecdotal evidence has long supported the supposition that listening to someone lecture is not the most effective way to learn or memorize information.

Now, a scientific study endorses this.

Researchers from the University of Iowa recently published a study that shows retention of auditory stimuli is inferior to that of both visual and tactile stimuli.

Put simply, we're worse at remembering things we hear than we are at remembering things we see or touch.
