During the great wild west show at the 101 Ranch in 1905, the great Apache chief, Geronimo, was brought up from prison at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma to participate in the festivities. For one of the events, the ranch offered $1000 to anyone who would volunteer to be scalped by Geronimo.
